BACHELOR OF AVIATION (FLIGHT OPERATIONS)

THEORY AND FLIGHT TRAINING

The Bachelor of Aviation (Flight Operations) CL09 prepares you for a career as a professional airline pilot. Studied over three years, you will learn the aeronautical theory required to gain your Commercial Pilot Licence and the Air Transport Pilot Licence theory component.

FIRST YEAR UNITS 

  • Basic Aeronautical Knowledge 
  • Basic Aeronautical Practice 
  • Aviation Physics 
  • Aviation Law 
  • Flight Planning, Performance and Operation (Private Pilot Licence)

SECOND YEAR UNITS 

  • Commercial Pilot Licence: Aerodynamics, General Aeronautical Knowledge, Navigation, Meteorology, Flight Planning, Performance and Loading, and Aviation Human Factors 
  • Instrument Flight Rules and Procedures

THIRD YEAR UNITS 

  • Air Transport Pilot Licence: Navigation, Meteorology, Aerodynamics and Aircraft General Knowledge, Aviation Human Factors, Flight Planning, Performance and Loading, Multi-Crew Cooperation, and Aviation Safety Management Systems 
  • Multi Crew Coordination Endorsement on our B737 Simulator

GRADUATE DIPLOMA OF AVIATION (FLIGHT OPERATIONS)

THEORY AND FLIGHT TRAINING

The Graduate Diploma of Aviation (Flight Operations) CL17 is studied concurrently with the Bachelor of Aviation (Flight Operations) CL09 and will provide you with the aeronautical experience required for a career as a commercial pilot.

You will build your skills as a pilot with White Star Aviation, starting with short flights right through to commercial pilot licence level.

Outcome: Recreational Pilot Licence

SECOND YEAR UNITS 

  • Aeronautical Practice 3

  • Advanced Aeronautical Practice 2
  • Advanced Aeronautical Practice 3
