RECREATIONAL PILOT CERTIFICATE (RPC)

A Recreational Pilot Certificate (RPC), is designed purely for those wishing to fly recreationally and who don’t need the additional benefits and privileges of a PPL. Issued by Recreational Aviation Australia Ltd (RAAus) will enable you to fly as pilot in command in an RAAus Registered Aircraft, within 25 nautical miles of your departure aerodrome. Should you wish to venture further away than 25nm you can complete your navigation endorsement.

THEORY AND FLIGHT TRAINING

The Recreational Pilot Certificate (RPC) is a cost effective way to achieve your first pilot licence. The RPC will teach you the fundamental theory and practical skills you need to fly a light aircraft. When your instructor feels that you are competent in your abilities, you will complete your flight test for the RPC. A flight review with one of our Senior instructors and some paperwork is all that is required upon completion of your RPC if you wish to convert your RPC to a CASA RPL!

The RPC syllabus includes:
  • 21 hours of Dual Flying
  • 5 hours Solo Flying
  • Theory Briefings
  • Pre Solo, BAK and Human Factors Exams
  • Flight test
