PRIVATE PILOT LICENCE (PPL)
A private pilot licence (PPL) is a licence that allows the holder to pilot an aircraft as pilot-in-command or co-pilot when the aircraft is being operated in a private operation or the holder is receiving flying training. Once you have successfully gained your RPL and are comfortable to pilot an aircraft by yourself, you can look to taking passengers and flying a variety of larger aircraft in training towards your PPL and fly anywhere in Australia.
THEORY AND FLIGHT TRAINING
You must complete a combination of practical flight training and pass the category rated exams to be able to hold a PPL.
